I don't think it is possible. Try to check, if you don't have some virtual or second desktop, which is normally positioned on the second screen and where the lister is being shown. I have the same configuration (laptop with docking station and two monitors) and even if I move any window, including the lister window, out of the screen, next time I open it, it is positioned on the visible desktop.... Right now, I am working on it from another location where I don't have the dock so it's just the laptop....
Windows shouldn't be able to open any window in the non-existing position. Once you switch the laptop to internal display only mode, you should see all windows.
